Brixhibition Schools Challenge

Tasmanian's premium Lego Competition for Primary School aged children




Northern Brixhibition Schools Challenge:
  • Eligible: All Primary Schools in the
    63 telephone area code
  • When: 1st School Term of 2018
  • Schools Confirmation date: Friday 2nd March 2018
  • Individual Schools Judging: 26th March 2018
  • Grand Final (all Northern Schools): 3pm Sunday, 22nd April 2018 at Brixhibiton Launceston (Albert Hall)

North West Brixhibition Schools Challenge:
  • Eligible: All Primary Schools in the
    64 telephone area code
  • When: 2nd School Term of 2018
  • Schools Confirmation date: Tuesday 22nd May 2018
  • Individual Schools Judging: Friday 18th June 2018
  • Grand Final (all North Western Schools): 3pm Sunday, 15th July 2018 at Brixhibiton Ulverstone (Sports Centre)

Southern Brixhibition Schools Challenge:

  • When: 3rd School Term of 2018

  • Grand Final (all Southern Schools): 3pm Sunday, 7th October 2018 at Brixhibiton Hobart (City Hall)

School Information and Conditions of entry for individual students


The Tasmanian Brick Enthusiasts Inc. invites all Primary Schools and Primary School Children in Tasmania to compete in a Brixhibition Schools Lego Competition running in 2018.

The Brixhibition Lego Challenge now offers 2 types of schools individual student entries

1. For schools with less than 12 participating students
No age groups (all students) Each Primary School’s Winning Entrant will win, prizes and a free pass to Brixhibition.

or

2. For schools with more than 12 participating students
an option for up to 3x age groups (with a least 4 student per age group)
  • Prep – Grade 2 - winner to receive a winner's medallion (Age Group or Age Grouip & Overall Winner)
  • Grade 3 – 4 - winner to receive a winner's medallion (Age Group or Age Grouip & Overall Winner)
  • Grade 5 – 6 - winner to receive a winner's medallion (Age Group or Age Grouip & Overall Winner)
The school then must pick 1 overall winner from the age group winners to represent your school at Brixhibition.
The overall winner will recieve 1x "Age Group & Overall" winners medallion
The overall winner will also win prizes and a free pass to Brixhibition.


Each Primary School can determine their own Lego challenge winner with the following rules and conditions.
  • Each Lego display to be no larger than 52cm x 52cm x 52cm, or no larger than four 32x32 lug Lego baseplates.
  • Each Lego display must be an original or freelance design and not made from a Lego kit.
  • Some Adult help is allowed, but the Lego design should mainly be the child’s own design.
  • Each School must confirm their participation by dates mentioned above.
  • Each Lego entry to be completed and displayed at your local school.
  • Each Primary School’s Lego display winner must be determined and announced at least 3 weeks before Brixhibition date.
  • Each School must return their fully completed and signed winning entry form.
  • Each Primary School’s Winning Entrant will win, a winners medallion, other prizes and a free pass to Brixibition, to be delivered in person or via mail, to each participating School.
  • Each School Winning Entrant is then invited to display their winning Lego models, along with all other primary school’s winning entries, at Brixhibition
  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be announced and be awarded prizes at Brixhibiton at 3pm on Sunday
  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners may require their photos taken with winning entries on the announcement day.

    • 2nd Place $200 Games World Plus Voucher
    • 3rd Place $100 Games World Plus Voucher

The Brixhibition Lego Challenge now offers school teams entries

No age groups (all students) Each Primary School’s Winning Entrant will win, prizes and a free pass to Brixhibition.

The school then must pick 1 overall winning team to represent your school at Brixhibition.
Each member of the overall team will win a winners certificate
The overall winner will also win prizes and a free pass to Brixhibition.

  • Each school can have as many teams participate as they wish, but must pick 1 team to represent their school at Brixhibition.
